Excerpt from this article: "On March 6, 1857 – 169 years ago today – the United States confronted one of the most consequential and troubling Supreme Court rulings in its history in Dred Scott v. Sandford. But while this decision was a dark moment in America’s past, it nonetheless ultimately revealed America’s exceptional character through the public reaction to it."

"(To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.) In the LORD put I my trust: how say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain? For, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart. If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do? The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD'S throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men. The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth. Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup. For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright." - Psalm 11

Note: This daily sermon for the hearing impaired is dedicated to my good friend, David J. Bishop, who went home to be with his Lord Jesus on July 1, 2021. David was the inspiration for me to begin posting links to sermons for the hearing impaired. David's not deaf anymore. And the first words he heard were from our Lord Jesus, saying to him, "Well done, David, thou good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of thy Lord!" [Matthew 25:21]

The Briefing for Monday, August 25, 2025, by Dr. R. Albert Mohler, Jr.
In this third video, Dr. Mohler gives a wonderful tribute to the late Dr. John McArthur. And he ends by saying that in the last week the church has lost 2 giant warriors - Dr. John MacArthur and Dr. James Dobson. And he prays that God will rise up warriors to take their place. Amen!
Excerpt from this last Briefing: Dr. Mohler is asked why Christian ministers aren't better at doing exorcisms. He says, on the one hand, it is impossible for Christians to be demon possessed. And for the non-Christian, demon possession is the least of their problems!
Amen!

He will indeed! The Bible says:
"And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment..." - Hebrews 9:27
And also
"When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me. Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal." - Matthew 25:31-46
There are many in hell right now who are cursing their "Christian" friends and family members because they "loved" them so much they didn't warn them they would be spending eternity in the flames of hell if they did not repent and believe the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ!
Recommended sermon: Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God, by Jonathan Edwards (1703-1758)
The following quote is from Jonathan Edwards (1703-1758) sermon:
"It would be dreadful to suffer this fierceness and wrath of Almighty God for one moment; but you must suffer it to all eternity. There will be no end to this exquisite horrible misery. When you look forward, you shall see a long forever, a boundless duration before you which will swallow up your thoughts, and amaze your souls, and you will absolutely despair of ever having any deliverances, any end, any mitigation, any rest at all; and you will know certainly that you must wear out long ages, millions and millions of ages, in wrestling and conflicting with this Almighty merciless vengeance; and then when you have so done, when many ages have actually been spent by you in this manner, you will know that it is all but a point to what remains. So that your punishment will indeed be infinite."
