Our Lord Jesus said 2,000 years ago: "Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?" - Luke 18:8
And the Apostle Paul writes:
"Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition..." - 2 Thessalonians 2:3
"For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night." - 1 Thessalonians 5:2
And the Apostle Paul writes in 2 Peter 3:8-10: "But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up."
