Recommended sermon: Serious Preaching in a Comedy Culture, by Dr. David P. Murray

The text for Dr. Murray's sermon is 2 Corinthians 5:10 & 11, which says, "Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we tell jokes..." No, wait.  That's not what it says! It says: "For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that everyone may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. Knowing, therefore, the terror of the Lord, we persuade men..." - 2 Corinthians 5:10,11

Here is another sermon that is so relevant to our times: Our Nation Laid in God's Balance, by Dr. Joel Beeke

The text for this sermon is Jeremiah 9:9: "Shall I not visit them for these things? saith the LORD: shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?"
