1540 – Waltham Abbey is surrendered to King Henry VIII of England; the last religious community to be closed during the Dissolution of the Monasteries.[1]

I heard the following story recently: President Theodore Roosevelt had been on a hunting trip in Africa and he was returning home to America on board a large ship. On that same ship a missionary was also returning to America. This missionary had labored in Africa for several decades. When they reached the shore there were thousands of people there to welcome Theodore Roosevelt. But no one came to meet the missionary. And the missionary got discouraged. But then he felt the Holy Spirit speaking to him and saying, "You're not home yet!"
