I think this was prophesied 2,000 years ago. The Bible says: "Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped...And if this "Falling Away" is being fulfilled literally, then surely " - 2 Thessalonians 2:3,4
it can't be too long until Revelation 13 becomes a reality as well. The Bible says: "And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six." - Revelation 13:16-18
