From Pastor John MacArthur: "I'm often asked if the Pope will go to heaven. My response is this: 'Is the Pope Catholic?'"

The following 2 quotes are from R. C. Sproul's (1939-2017) book Faith Alone: The Evangelical Doctrine of Justification:
"Does saving faith require a trust in the righteousness of Christ alone as the grounds of our justification? Or may a person have a different view of the gospel and still be a Christian?"

Note: I agree with Pastor MacArthur that if the Pope is Catholic then he probably is not going to make it to heaven. But lest my readers think that I'm just a "Catholic hater," I do have one quote from a Roman Catholic website that I repost from time to time that goes back to when Barack Obama was in the White House:
"Barack Obama is not the problem. We are! Abortion is. Public schools are. A rotting pop culture is. ...Divorce and homosexual 'marriage' are. Obama has been reelected simply because America, like any nation, will always only get the leaders she deserves. We told God to go to hell a long time ago, and God is now allowing us to see what life is like without him. So lead on, Mr. Obama!" (Emphasis mine)(Source)
